Since we know our mobility stretching service at Recovery Lab of La Verne is even more beneficial than regular stretching, we’d love it if you read on to learn more about it.

Why Is Assisted Stretching Better?

While there are any number of stretches you can do by yourself, there are some really helpful ones that are just not possible to get into or stay in, either due to them putting you very off balance or some other reason.

This gets deeper into your muscles and stretches the muscles usually missed.

When Is The Best Time For Mobility Stretching?

The short answer is anytime you feel you need it!

We encourage you to stretch before you work out, as it loosens and warms up your muscles. After a workout is also a good time, as it keeps the blood flowing to your muscles and allows them to cool down, resulting in less soreness later on.

You can also get mobility stretching all by itself without any workout at all! This is perfect if you’re prone to getting stiff after a long day at work, easing up much of the tension so it doesn’t get worse the next day.

Why Should I Use Recovery Lab For This?

Simple: our recovery specialists are trained to know your muscles and the best ways to stretch these out.

Additionally, we also have many other services we offer, so you can go to our one location for things like cryotherapy and red light therapy instead of somewhere else that might not have these things.

How Should I Prepare For Mobility Stretching?

The most important thing is to make sure you are wearing loose and comfortable clothing. You don’t want anything you are wearing to cut into your circulation even though you will be moving in ways you don’t usually move.

Otherwise, we recommend making sure you are hydrated and have eaten recently enough to ensure you won’t get thirsty or hungry while we help you stretch.

What Are Some Important Things To Keep In Mind?

Firstly, while assisted stretching will help you become more flexible, it won’t do so after just one or two sessions. It’s going to take repeated stretching to lengthen your reach enough for you to really notice it.

Secondly, you’ll notice results faster if you are consistent and frequent. For example, someone who uses our mobility stretching on the same two days every week will have better results than someone who uses this service three times one week, misses the next week entirely, and then has only one session the week after that.

Thirdly, and the one we’ll end with, stretching does require upkeep. In other words, if you use our mobility stretching to get to the level of flexibility you want, and then you stop any and all stretching, well, you’re going to lose some of the progress you made.
