Chronic Inflammation
Serving the Greater Los Angeles County Area including La Verne, Claremont, Glendora, San Dimas, CA
Inflammation can be both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it’s a natural response to injury or sickness. However, dealing with excessive or chronic inflammation, especially without an obvious cause, can be detrimental.
Too much inflammation can lead to pain, muscle or joint stiffness, low mood, and general fatigue. It can truly have an impact on every area of your life.
Here at Recovery Lab, we want to help support your wellness journey. With multiple recovery tools to turn to, we can help promote a healthy inflammatory response.
Chronic Inflammation
- What Does Inflammation Mean in Wellness Terms?
Inflammation is how your body repairs itself after experiencing injury or infection. This response means well, with a goal to isolate the injury, stimulate tissue repair, and boost the immune system to protect the body.
When inflammation goes haywire, it can lead to opposite results. Excess inflammation or inflammation lasting longer than necessary can damage healthy cells, increase your risk of blood clots, and even boost your chances of developing a chronic illness. Hence, it’s important to keep inflammation in check, even if you’re generally healthy.
- What Causes Inflammation in the Body?
Inflammation can have multiple triggers. In the average person, inflammation most commonly happens due to physical trauma or an infection. In healthy individuals, this response tends to be short term, just until the threat, i.e., the injury or infection, has cleared.
Other potential causes of inflammation can include excess stress, intense workouts, sleep deprivation, autoimmune or metabolic disorders, or exposure to certain chemicals. Aging may also play a role in inflammation.
- Who Can Benefit from Wellness Services for Inflammation?
Almost anyone could benefit from the wellness services we offer here at Recovery Lab. We serve a wide range of clients of different ages and levels of activity. We don’t require a diagnosis or referral to try our services, which means our recovery options are available to the general public.
For inflammation in particular, athletes, high-stress individuals, anyone who has had a recent injury or surgery, those with recurring joint issues, older adults, and people with desk jobs often benefit the most.
- Can I Try Multiple Services in One Visit?
Yes, you can absolutely try more than one wellness service in the same visit! It’s your wellness journey, so try as many of our services as you see fit. When you try more than one wellness service together, you have the opportunity to enhance the results you receive from each.
Whether you want to start off with just one service for now or go gung ho with multiple options from the start, we’ll be happy to clear out a spot on our schedule for you.
- Which of Your Services are Best for Inflammation?
At Recovery Lab, we offer several services to help calm inflammation. Some of our top inflammation-taming wellness services include cryotherapy, cupping, and red light therapy. While these won’t “cure” inflammation, what they can do is help temporarily balance your inflammatory response to provide a relief of symptoms.
We recommend stacking services or setting up multi-weekly visits if you want to get the most out of our services. Opting for more than one service can also help you target more than one goal, such as reduced inflammation and quicker healing.
