Mobility Stretching
Serving the Greater Los Angeles County Area including La Verne, Claremont, Glendora, San Dimas, CA
Stretching is often thought of as a good way to warm up, but we at Recovery Lab of La Verne know there is much more to it. Even more, we know how much better for you our mobility stretching is than regular stretching you are capable of doing yourself. So let us share with you more about the stretching service we offer.
Mobility Stretching
- What Are The Benefits Of Mobility Stretching?
Mobility stretching, which is the specific type of stretching we offer, is different in a few areas, the main ones of which are the goal and the method. These being different also means some of the benefits are different from standard stretching.
Things they both have in common are their well-known ability to loosen up stiff muscles, get your blood flowing to them, and, therefore, lessen the odds of you pulling or tearing a muscle when you work out and sparing you pain.
As for mobility stretching specifically, it gets deeper into your muscles, with stretching designed to even loosen up the fascia, which is your muscle’s connective tissue.
All this means it provides an even greater boost in mobility, hence the name of this type of stretching!
- Who Is This Stretching Suitable For?
Anyone who wants more from stretching should try this type.
This includes people who struggle with tight muscles despite stretching and people who are more at risk of pulling a muscle due to a recent injury of some type.
It also includes athletes who need a wider range of motion for any reason.
- What Is Mobility Stretching Like?
Our process at Recovery Lab will start off with a conversation with one of our recovery specialists to go over with you if you’ve any specific areas that need extra work and what your goals are.
When starting your actual session, you should be wearing loose clothing that won’t get in the way, and your accompanying recovery specialist will help you get into stretches you would struggle to properly do by yourself and walk through the whole thing with you.
The session should cause you to feel noticeably looser and perhaps slightly sore. If this is something you haven’t done before, you will get a bit stiffer afterward like with using any new muscles, so you’ll need to keep up your mobility stretching in order to truly get results.
- Why To Use Recovery Lab
Mobility stretching needs someone who knows what they are doing, which is why we ensure our recovery specialists are well-trained.
We are not only available to help you with the stretching itself, but we are also able to go over with you what realistic expectations you should have. As mentioned previously, it takes time and repeated sessions if you want to get the full results from mobility stretching, for example.
The main reason why you should use us, though, is the fact that our main goal is to help you be healthier and fitter. You are our priority!
