  • A Word On What A Weekend Warrior Is

If you’re unfamiliar with what the term ‘weekend warrior’ means, we know it is pretty easy to guess just from the name, but let’s clarify it anyway.

A weekend warrior is a person who most often has a sedentary desk job that takes up practically all of their weekdays and who then tries to be as physically active on the weekends as they can possibly be, whether this is playing a sport or just using gym equipment.

  • Special Needs Of Weekend Warriors

Only exercising on the weekend comes with concerns that people who work out more often don’t have to deal with.

For starters, your muscles get used to inactivity during the week, so using them a ton over the weekend is the perfect recipe for sore, tight, painful muscles when Monday and Tuesday come around.

Also, since your muscles aren’t used to the high level of activity, they are far more likely to get tears, strains, and sprains. These only add to the pain you experience when the weekend is over.

All of this adds up to what we know feels like a punishment for trying to be fit, which makes it hard to find the motivation to keep putting yourself through this every week. This is especially true when you struggle to get your stamina up, meaning you might not even be able to get as much of a workout done as you wanted.

Mobility Stretching: This is where one of our recovery specialists will assist you in getting deep into your muscles with some beneficial stretching. When properly stretched, you are less likely to injure your muscles, with the added benefit of being less stiff the next day.

Percussion Therapy: This therapy uses a percussion gun to work out all of the tension and knots from your muscles, making it perfect for weekend warriors at the end of their weekend to help your muscles be as pain-free as possible on Monday.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: With oxygen being so important to your body, this therapy’s ability to get more into your system means you are able to recover faster from your tough weekend.
